The view is great for breakfast, but they have to step it up. Using frozen egg rounds is worst than McDonalds. This is an awesome location, take advantage of it.

Go to Boardwalk! Anyone on here hating is an idiot or an ex employee or a wanna be employee. Great food in summer. Great service year round from Calvin Britney and Audrey. Cheap drinks. Great food. Awesome service. Locals go here for a reason. Go. Don't listen to small town jealous yelp haters. Better time and less touristy than anywhere nearby. Especially on the water. Btw. Docks are spacious and awesome.

First - let me say, I HATE YELP. I think it is completely bogus. I review on MANY other sites & this one continues to hide REAL reviews from ACTUAL people, but for a fee, they can remove them. That being said, this restaurant was AWFUL! It is a shack on the side of the road. The grilled chicken sandwich I had was inedible. it was rubbery & horrible. I took it off the GIANT OVERSIZED bun & put on a piece of my daughter's chicken tender instead. The prices were high as well ($8 for a sandwich). The drink choices were lacking - coke, diet coke (in bottles) and iced tea. My kids went over to the bar next door to get water & sprite. From what we understood - this is a "locals" place. Locals should beware & they can do better. Even McDonald's is better.

Great location with a great view. Great breakfast service, by super friendly staff. Breakfast was just OK, nothing to get excited over and a little salty for my taste.

Tough to beat the view and the atmosphere. Food is very solid, my burger was perfectly cooked and the prices are reasonable. Enjoyed the music on the deck and just relaxing. In Deep Creek this place is near the top for a good summer meal.

This place is great. Sit on the deck by the lake. Order from the grill. Watch the boats. Perfect. Happy hour had decent beer prices. They could use a nice microbrew on tap.

Well, let's see... We came here to relax and take in the view. We were not disappointed. We came in around 3ish and it was happy hour. I do not recall what the specials were, but the rail rum was cheap so I was a happy pirate. The restaurant menu was pretty limited and the staff was somewhat helpful. My boys ordered some food and a couple of beverages. The staff forgot to give them their drinks and then they had to wait a bit to receive them. When my sons asked about them they were told they'd have to wait. Not sure what caused the delay, but telling any customer they have to wait (in my opinion) is bad business when you forget their items. All in all, the place has prime real estate and that is enough to get 3 stars regardless of the service at the grill. The bar saved the review in the 4 star area. I would go back, but only for cocktails.

Sorry, I generally only like to give good reviews, but the one star is for the lakefront location. The menu is very limited grill food - burgers, hot dogs, chicken fingers, fries and onion rings for the most part. This would be totally fine except that everything is pre-made frozen food! Sorry again, but this isn't cooking, it's reheating. Also, broadcasting the karaoke happening in the bar out to the patio was not fun for us...the staff (and I think owner) were very nice I feel bad but take more pride!

We have been to the Boardwalk Bar several times in the past 2 years. We always enjoy the food and the view of the lake is spectacular. The Boardwalk just started serving breakfast this week and we tried it this morning. It was one of the best breakfast meals we have ever had. I had the sausage, egg and cheese biscuit and it was much larger than I had anticipated and tasted wonderful. The server was very personable and the owner came over and talked to us to make sure we were happy with everything. My husband and I will definitely go back next time we are in Deep Creek.

Preface: We've enjoyed eating here for several summers now. Today was our third lunch of the summer that took 45+ minutes for food to arrive at our table after ordering. This after we asked when ordering what the wait was, and were told 20 minutes. The best part? My tablemates received their food a good 15 minutes before mine arrived. I went to the grill and asked how much longer and was told, "It's coming." I said, "When, because we were told 20 minutes, it's been 45, and the rest of my party is just about done." And the swell guy behind the register looked me in the eye and said, "Cool." This is a great bar. It is a lousy restaurant, kept alive only by its view (as we left, I heard the guy at the table behind me say, "I wasn't planning to spend all day here. How long does it take to throw burgers on the grill?"). And now with a bonus attitude. No thanks, Boardwalk. We're breaking up.

Great view of the lake, but a little on the expensive side for a burger and fries. I was there during lunch, in the middle of the week, and the wait for our food took a long time. It looks like a fun place I'd like to come back to on a weekend night, though, so next time I'm traveling through MD, I'm going to do just that.

Good atmosphere and great view of the lake from the deck. Drinks were reasonable and the food from the grill was solid. Not fancy or an overly extensive menu, but for a drink and something grilled you can't beat it. There was also a band on the saturday night we were there. Good times, will go back.

The service at this establishment is not only slow, inattentive, but downright rude!! We come to Deep Creek Lake at least twice a month, since we own a cabin up there. Everytime we go to the boardwalk in the last year or so, this has been the service from the barmaids. This last time, we not only did not get waited on for at least 6 min. from the time we wlked up to the bar, Not one bartender said hello, be with you in a minute, nothing. Then when the barmaid proceeded to wait on other customers who just walked right up, my husband asked if they were working sections or something. Which she proceeded to answer in a very rude way, and said she will now wait on us "at the end of the line" My husband then said, I am just wondering how this sysyem works here, the lady next to me has been waiting longer than us, but you keep waiting on the new people. Then she went back to the register and called my husband an asshole, for many to hear. I said, "Did you call my husband an asshole?" I was so shocked for an employee to behave this way to the patrons. She said, yes she did. So I asked is this the kind of establishment where you are allowed to call your customers assholes? Then I guess the manager came over, and she said yes it is. Again I was very shocked. My husband and I had not raised our voices, or cursed. So again my husband tried to explain what happened to the manager( I guess ) She then said she doesnt need to wait on us, we can leave?! I do not know what for?? So my husband asked why do we have to leave, for what?? Which she then pulled out her cell phone and said she was calling the police. So naturally, I told my husband we will just leave,I did not want to give them our money anyway after that! I mean there are plenty of other bars who will take your money for overpriced drinks!!

This is a Deep Creek, Lake-front favorite. If you're on a boat and want to stop for some cocktails (responsibly, of course) and a bite to eat--this is a good choice. Everything in Deep Creek is pricey, so try not to get sticker-shock. PROS: Lake-front/docking access Good food (when they're cooking outside on the deck, pretty decent stuff out there) Gets nice and busy, so you're not wondering why it is that you stopped. CONS: being lake-front and dock accessible, drinks are semi-pricey
